Two new men’s therapy groups starting in Georgetown!

These men’s groups are designed to meet the unique psychological and emotional needs of men.Men's therapy Group Georgetown Round Rock Tx

A men’s therapy group can offer a secure place to step out of the roles we typically inhabit at work and at home. That respite can serve as the foundation for meaningful growth and change since it invites us to tap into a wider range of self-potential than daily life allows.

How to Be a Better Husband/Partner: A Group for Men

“I know I’m not the best listener in the world, but it drives me crazy when my wife says that I don’t understand her. Or that I don’t even try. Hearing that really distresses me…”

For some men, the emotional demands of marriage (or an intimate relationship) can be a real challenge. Many of the men who come to me for individual and couples counseling have identified this challenge and are motivated to do their part for a more harmonious, fulfilling union. The How to Be a Better Husband Men’s Group is for men who want to work to become more emotionally attuned and emotionally available spouses/partners.

When Sex Becomes a Problem: A Group for Men

“I watch porn until my brain feels numb. And now I’ve started looking online for escorts. I have this whole secret life my wife doesn’t know about. But I can’t stand lying to her anymore…”

Sex is an experience that should enrich our lives. But increasingly, some men who contact me for counseling are struggling to understand and control unwanted sexual behavior — sexual acting-out that is causing them to create secret lives that are self-destructive and damaging to their relationships. Excessive pornography use, cheating on their spouse/partner, chronic masturbation, continual use of sex to escape the challenges of life…these are some of the behaviors that this group addresses.
